Welcome to the Norfolk and Waveney International Recruitment, where our mission is to build a culturally diverse, vibrant and inclusive health and care workforce of the future. Shaping a more inclusive environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed.
Established in January 2022, our programme has supported over 500 internationally educated adult, paediatric and mental health nurses as well as healthcare support workers. We have supported individuals from point of application through to receiving their NMC pins, and are dedicated to providing a seamless international recruitment experience.
Our team is based on site at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Norfolk, and our services are available UK-wide. Ethical recruitment is our priority, and we are committed to providing a high quality, transparent service to both candidates and clients globally.
Norfolk and Waveney International Recruitment is a part of The James Paget University Hospital. Like many NHS Trusts across the UK the James Paget has had to be innovative in their approach to recruiting and filling nursing vacancies. In 2022 the NWIR started out as a collaborative programme and was hosted by the James Paget partnering with NHS Trusts across Norfolk and Waveney. In 2024 The James Paget made the bold move away from a collaborative service and the NWIR became an independent international recruitment service provider which sits onsite and managed by the James Paget Hospital.
The success of the programme since 2022 demonstrates the reduction in nursing vacancies across the Norfolk and Waveney system as well as a 0 nurse vacancy rate across the James Paget. There is also substantial savings for all Trusts on their nursing agency spend.
We continue to maintain an excellent reputation with international partners and our partner Trusts.
We have a dedicated team onsite of recruitment experts and clinical educators that will work with and support candidates every step of the way from interview to arrival to OSCE training and moving on to your new role we will be by your side to guide you through.
We offer a generous relocation package including sponsorship, flights to the UK, airport transfers, 3 week OSCE training, OSCE accommodation, your first OSCE exam paid for and a food hamper. Our pastoral package starts from the beginning of your recruitment journey, and we work with you and your employing organisation to make the transition as informative, smooth and helpful as we can step by step with you always in mind.
